Kazakhstan to send 55 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Turkey – Government of Kazakhstan

In accordance with the order of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Republic of Kazakhstan will provide additional humanitarian assistance to the Republic of Turkey. The issue was discussed at a meeting of the Government Commission chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar.

The humanitarian aid will include clothes (warm jackets and trousers), winter tents, metal beds, bedding and other essential goods weighing around 55 tonnes.

The shipments will be flown to the Turkish city of Gaziantep.

Kazakhstan's support is aimed at helping Turkey eliminate the consequences of the devastating earthquakes that hit the country at the beginning of February this year.
