About 75% of adult population of Kazakhstan fully vaccinated against coronavirus

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered.

Acting Minister of Healthcare Zhandos Burkitbayev reported on the stability of the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country. The workload of infectious and intensive care beds is 19%.

To date, in terms of the spread of coronavirus infection, most regions (15) and the Republic of Kazakhstan as a whole are in the green zone. Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions remain in the yellow zone.

To date, more than 9 million people have been vaccinated with the first component — this is almost 80% of the adult population, over 8.4 million people or about 75% of the adult population — with the second component.

In connection with the spread of a new strain of coronavirus in the world, the Head of Government paid special attention to the need to comply with sanitary and epidemiological requirements, strengthen control at the state border, maintain a mask regime in rooms and public transport, social distance, as well as increase the rate of revaccination of the population.
