At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the sanitary and epidemiological situation on COVID-19 was considered. Minister of Healthcare Aleksey Tsoy presented a report on the current state and measures taken to combat the coronavirus infection in Kazakhstan.
First of all, the minister voiced the data on the covid incidence in the world. According to him, today more than 230 million CVI cases are registered in the world, more than 300 thousand cases were registered during the day. More than 4.7 million people died.
According to the WHO European Region, over the past two weeks of 54 countries, incidence is noted in 22 countries.
Over the past 14 days, the greatest increase in incidence was recorded in Ukraine, where, in the week, the incidence rose by more than 100%, in Poland, Hungary and Moldova to 77%, in Armenia, Turkey and Belarus — from 16 to 30%.
"A decrease in incidence growth is celebrated in 32 countries of Europe, including 57% in Spain, in Switzerland, France and Azerbaijan by 40%, in Kyrgyzstan — 36%, in Georgia — 32%, in Israel — 21%, in Germany — 18%," Tsoy informed.
Turning to republican indicators, the Minister noted a decrease in morbidity in Kazakhstan. Over the past two weeks, according to him, the incidence decreased by 36%.
From the second half of August, the stabilization of the epidemiological situation is noted, the incidence decreased by 3.2 times, and mortality is 2.7 times.
Today, there are 4 regions in the green zone: Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, Mangystau and Turkistan region.
The Republic of Kazakhstan and 8 regions are in the yellow zone (Shymkent, Almaty, Atyrau, Aktobe, Kostanay, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan).
Five regions remain in the red zone.
The reproductive number is 0.88.
In the context of the last month, according to the minister, the number of victims per day decreased by 3.6 times. Also noted a decrease in the number of patients in inpatient treatment, 2.4 times from 25 thousand as of Aug. 27 to 10.5 thousand people on Sep. 27. On an outpatient treatment, the number of patients decreased 1.7 times from 89 thousand to 51 thousand patients.
"At the same time, I want to note that from Aug. 23, the number of patients recovered per day exceeds the number of ill per day, which also indicates the stabilization of the epidemiological state," said Tsoy.
In general, the country, according to him, since Aug. 1, there is a decrease in the level of employment of infectious beds from 56 to 33%, reanimated from 45 to 32%.
At the same time, 57 cupid hospitals or 25 thousand beds were closed in the republic.
The vaccination of the population continues. To date, according to the Ministry of Healthcare, the first component is more than 7.5 million people, the coverage of the subject to the population amounted to 75.8%, 2 components of the vaccine more than 6.4 million people with coverage of 64.7% of the subject to the population.
"The regions of the vaccine are provided in sufficient quantities. The supply of vaccines is carried out according to the schedule," Tsoy reported.
The minister stressed that vaccination is still the only specific measure of the prophylaxis of coronavirus infection.
With the onset of autumn colds, there is traditionally flu vaccination begins in the country. In the current year, it started on Sep. 15. A single distributor — SK-Pharmacy LLP — purchased 2,526,754 doses of influenza vaccine, which will allow to cover 13% of the total population of the republic. On the WHO recommendation it is required to cover 10%.
"Flu vaccinations are subject to medical professionals, children in dispensary accounting in medical organizations, children of education organizations for orphans and children left without parental care, child houses and epidemiological indications," Tsoy reminded.
Today, about 270 thousand people are vaccinated or 10.5% of the subject to the population.
