Center for advanced training of employees of state and departmental archives opened in Kazakhstan

As part of the work on the Comprehensive Plan for the implementation of the "Archive - 2025" Project with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov and Minister of Culture and Sports Aktoty Raimkulova, the grand opening of the Center for Advanced Studies of employees of state and departmental archives at the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place.

The event was also attended by state and public figures, deputies, scientists, workers of the archival industry, representatives of the media, who got acquainted with the main activities of the Center, photo documentary expositions revealing the history of the development of Independent Kazakhstan.

In his welcoming speech, Tugzhanov announced the measures taken to improve the archival industry, the introduction of information technologies to automate the functions of state and departmental archives. Also, the Deputy Prime Minister focused on the fact that in order to increase the prestige of the profession of archivist, to attract professional personnel, the state has adopted a set of measures, including an annual increase in wages, dual education, the award of an international Bolashak scholarship, etc.

The Minister of Culture and Sports Aktoty Raimkulova noted the importance of the Center for advanced training and retraining of personnel in the archival industry, opened for the first time, including in narrow specialties — restorer, processing of scientific, technical and audiovisual documentation.
