Following the results of the work of the National Stand of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the 29th International Exhibition of Food, Drinks and Raw Materials for Their Production "PRODEXPO-2022", Kazakh entrepreneurs signed export contracts worth more than $101 million.

The Kazakhstan National Stand was presented by 20 manufacturing companies from Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kostanay, Turkistan and Pavlodar regions, as well as the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent. The exhibition featured honey products, confectionery and pasta, flour and confectionery products, soft drinks, juices and beer, ice cream, vegetable oils. Companies producing and processing fruits and vegetables also presented their products.

During the exhibition, about 200 B2B negotiations were held between Kazakh companies and Russian and other buyers of domestic products, including negotiations with federal and regional retail chains in Russia and other countries. The greatest interest among buyers of Kazakhstani products was caused by oil and fat products from the Republic of Kazakhstan: butter, margarine, etc. The second most popular commodity among Russian and international traders is Kazakh ice cream.

Also, buyers pay great attention to Kazakhstani soft drinks, juices, beer, fresh, freshly frozen and processed vegetables and fruits, fruit and berry purees, flour, pasta, as well as honey, dairy and confectionery products.

The participation of Kazakh companies in the PRODEXPO exhibition was provided as part of the service support for exporters by QazTrade, a single operator of state export support.

In 2021, as part of the service support measures for exporters, the amount of export contracts concluded by Kazakh manufacturers amounted to about $279.6 million. At the end of 2021, the income of domestic producers for every 1 tenge of direct budget expenditures aimed at servicing exporters amounted to 329.6 tenge.
