Every house in Arys is constantly monitored — Kairbek Uskenbayev

As of July 2, 2019, the repair of 80 houses was completed in the town of Arys, Turkestan Region. In the near future, builders will restore another 349 dwellings.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, over 100 construction companies or 1,037 specialists and 54 units of special equipment from all regions of the country are involved in a large-scale action for the restoration of the city. The working group led by the vice minister of industry and infrastructure development, Kairbek Uskenbaev, is now in Arys.

“The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development has a big task – the organization of the restoration of residential buildings and infrastructure. The ministry, on behalf of the government, sent a very large group of experts – our engineers and estimators, that is, the most experienced specialists in the construction industry, who, first of all, checked private and multi-family houses,” said Kairbek Uskenbayev.

According to the vice minister, all homes in Arys are kept under control and daily monitoring.

“We have monitored every house. And even if only a window leaf was broken in the house or glass was broken out, we all took it into account and fixed the dwelling as an object in need of repair. Therefore, for each house there is an individual approach, somewhere there is glazing, somewhere the replacement of the roof. Some houses will have to be demolished and rebuilt. We identified all the existing damage, made a budget and are now conducting an assessment to determine the amount of damage and the necessary funds for restoration,” said Kairbek Uskenbayev.

As was reported earlier, the city was divided into 17 sectors, securing all regions of the country and cities of republican significance for them. A part of the expenses on the restoration of residential buildings is assumed by the fixed local executive body, the rest of the expenses will be covered by funds from the republican budget. It is worth noting that the construction company BI Group expressed a desire to help in the restoration of houses. They were allocated 100 houses. According to the Committee on Construction, Housing and Public Utilities, 85% of all homes in Arys need repairs.

Kairbek Uskenbayev also noted that every day by 7 p.m., all local executive bodies report on the work done to repair the housing stock.

In turn, the restoration of social infrastructure facilities will be carried out at the expense of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund, and large business representatives are ready to help the entrepreneurs from Arys by sending funds through Atameken.

All damaged and destroyed facilities must be commissioned before Aug. 1, 2019.
