During the meeting, the Head of State heard the report on the activities of the justice bodies for this  year’s six months and the execution of these instructions earlier. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

"For six months of 2018, first-instance courts have examined 1.8 million court cases and materials, which is higher than in the same period last year. 16,302 people were convicted by criminal cases, 25% of whom were sentenced to imprisonment," Asanov reported.

Zhakip Asanov has also informed Nursultan Nazarbayev about a 30% reduction in the number of cases of choosing a preventive measure in the form of arrest for economic crimes.

Ending  the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan gave a number of instructions.
