According to the Minister of National Economy, the dynamics of GDP growth in the country is significantly accelerated.

“If we look at the dynamics, then the growth in January was 3.2%, while in January-February the growth reached 3.5%. As you can see there is a growth dynamics. In comparison with January, there is acceleration,” said Dalenov.

However, the minister focused on the issue of price regulation. This issue, as noted by Dalenov, is under control, the antimonopoly committee has already sent a number of requests.

“30 requests were sent to state bodies, 134 requests to wholesalers, 20 requests to manufacturers, and retailers received 32 requests. We are also monitoring. Prices remain at the same level, even a decline was noticed somewhere. There is no upward trend,” said Dalenov.

The minister also stressed that the agency will suppress unscrupulous entrepreneurs who are in collusion.

As for systemic measures, Dalenov said that currently the issue of organizing wholesale distribution centers is being considered.

“The goal is to buy fruit and vegetables in large volumes during the harvest or the autumn period, while low prices are and to provide it in the off-season at prices with a minimum margin that covers storage and transportation services. We are working on this scheme, and soon we will offer it to investors and start building and operating such centers,” said Dalenov.

The minister also noted that it is necessary to gradually move to public monitoring of prices, so that people can know about the pricing policy of enterprises.

First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Finance Alikhan Smailov also stressed that Kazakhstani producers should not be afraid or worry about some kind of price regulation for vegetable products.

“The point is that in the offseason, when there is a shortage of domestic vegetables, import on the market is felt. Against the background of this deficit, the import gives us a rise in prices for vegetables, so now all our efforts will be directed at smoothing price peaks, including through the creation of such centers, more efficient use of stabilization funds, so that during the harvest period they lay the necessary amount of vegetable domestic products and in the offseason – to use at lower prices,” said Smailov.
