Olzhas Bektenov Discusses Cross-Border Cooperation with Orenburg Region Governor Yevgeny Solntsev

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov received Governor of Orenburg Region of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Solntsev. The parties reviewed current issues of interregional cooperation in trade, industrial collaboration, transport and logistics infrastructure, as well as the development of cultural and humanitarian ties.

During the meeting, the importance of cross-border cooperation as one of the key drivers of Kazakhstan–Russia relations was emphasized. Orenburg Region remains an important partner of Kazakhstan and a significant transport and logistics hub. At the end of 2025, trade turnover between the regions of Kazakhstan and Orenburg Region reached $627 million, marking an 11.2% increase compared to 2024.
