Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) within the framework of the Annual Meeting of the Bank, which reviewed the results of the organisation's work for 2023, as well as making a number of decisions on further multilateral development.
EDB Board Chairman Nikolay Podguzov noted that in 2023 the Bank maintained its financial stability and strengthened its role as a leading development institution in the region of operations. The annual volume of investments totalled $1.7 billion. In the reporting year, the Bank increased its work in the field of "green investments the volume of green projects in the current investment portfolio at the end of the year totalled more than $600 million. At the end of the first two years, the fulfilment of the Strategy 2022-2026 indicator on investments was 140%.
The accumulated investment portfolio over the 18 years of the Bank's operation has reached $14.7 billion, the total number of projects is 285. The main share is occupied by projects with integration effect in the spheres of transport infrastructure, digital systems, green energy, agriculture, industry and mechanical engineering.
