Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the implementation of instructions given by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev regarding the development of the nuclear industry.

Attention was paid to ongoing efforts to study new prospective uranium sites, geological exploration, and expanding the mineral resource base within the framework of the Strategy for the Development of the Nuclear Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan through 2050.

Plans of the National Atomic Company "Kazatomprom" for further conducting large-scale geological exploration work were reviewed.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of nuclear energy development for ensuring long-term and sustainable economic growth for the country. Responsible government bodies and organizations were given a series of instructions to further develop industrial potential and increase national economic benefits from field development.
