Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with the leadership of responsible ministries and law enforcement agencies on the current situation in the petroleum products market, taking into account the influence of external factors.
A report by Minister of Energy Yerlan Akkenzhenov was heard. At present, Kazakhstani oil refineries are operating in normal mode, fully meeting the needs of the domestic market. Stocks of gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel in the country exceed 1 million tons, which allows complete coverage of current consumer demand. Petroleum products are supplied on a priority basis to gas stations, agricultural producers, and domestic air carriers. There is no shortage of fuels and lubricants. Production, shipment, and stocks of petroleum products are constantly monitored.
Attention was paid to measures to prevent the illegal export of petroleum products. Currently, an order of the Ministry of Energy is in effect prohibiting the export by road of certain types of petroleum products and light distillates by rail beyond the borders of Kazakhstan. A restriction has also been introduced on crossing the state border by road no more than once per day.
Reports were heard from Minister of Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov, Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee – Director of the Border Service Yerlan Aldazhumanov, and Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Financial Monitoring Kairat Bizhanov.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov emphasized that ensuring the stability of the domestic petroleum products market is of strategic importance.
