Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on further increasing the efficiency of the investment attraction and support system in accordance with the tasks set by the Head of State as part of launching a new investment cycle.
Approaches to strengthening interaction with investors at all stages were reviewed—ranging from initial interest and exploring promising areas to project launch and post-investment support for expansion and reinvestment.
The intended result should be a reduction in approval procedure timelines and the accelerated commissioning of projects, alongside parallel efforts to scale operations and develop exports.
Additionally, attention was paid to digital tools designed to ensure comfortable conditions for both investors and supervising government agencies.
Proactive investment policy on the external contour was also discussed.
The Prime Minister was presented with the results of an analysis of the performance of responsible state bodies and organizations in interacting with investors and their indicator of bringing projects to actual capital investment in the country's economy and facility commissioning.
Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, Assistant to the President for Economic Affairs Nurlan Baibazarov, Advisor to the President – Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms Aset Irgaliyev, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tileuberdi, and Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev took part in discussing proposals to establish a unified investment vertical.
Following the meeting, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov emphasized that the Head of State set the task for a fundamental renewal of investment policy mechanisms. Amid global competition for capital, the Government must ensure a predictable and favorable investment climate. The Ministry of National Economy, together with interested state bodies and organizations, was instructed to prepare a highly concrete action plan to improve the current investment attraction system.
