As part of the Head of State’s instructions to increase the share of domestic production in the pharmaceutical sector, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved an Investment Agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Khimfarm JSC for the project “Ensuring More Affordable Medicines for the Population and Increasing the Share of Domestic Pharmaceutical Production in the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov chaired a meeting of the Council on Improving the Investment Climate, focusing on the implementation of agreements reached by the heads of state within the framework of the C5+1 format between the countries of Central Asia and the United States.

In 2025, Kazakhstan’s transport sector continued its systematic development aimed at strengthening the country’s transit and logistics potential, modernizing infrastructure, and improving transport efficiency. As part of the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on the development of manufacturing industry, economic diversification, and attraction of investment, steady growth of key sectors was ensured in 2025.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held an interim meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting addressed issues of investor support and the joint development in Kazakhstan of next-generation high-tech production with wide application of artificial intelligence and digital solutions.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the implementation of the President’s instruction to launch a new investment cycle and increase the volume of high-quality investment. The meeting was attended by Prosecutor General Berik Assylov, members of the Government, ministers and regional akims, as well as the management of Samruk-Kazyna, Baiterek, KAZAKH INVEST, and the Atameken.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with Senior Vice President of ExxonMobil Peter Larden to discuss cooperation in the oil and gas sector. A number of issues related to the joint projects Tengiz, Kashagan, and the Caspian Pipeline Consortium were discussed.
A meeting of the Coordination Council on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international financial organizations was held at the Government House under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and within the framework of the Government’s systematic work, the development of Almaty Region in 2025 was focused on improving public welfare and strengthening the region’s economic potential. A key emphasis was placed on job creation and comprehensive infrastructure modernization, primarily in rural areas, where more than 80% of the region’s population resides.
