Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State on attracting investments into the economy, given in the Address to the Nation “Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Their Solutions Through Digital Transformation.” Attention was focused on improving the efficiency of the work of ministries and akimats to increase the volume of investments and the pace of launching investment projects in the regions.

Answering a question from a deputy at the plenary session of the Mazhilis about the reduction of dividends to the state budget from national companies, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov stated that national companies are directing large sums to the implementation of major investment and social projects in the regions, and as far as the transparency of spending is concerned, that point is now ensured by the current legislation.

Kazakhstan proposed increasing exports of high-quality agricultural products to Serbia at the 4th meeting of the Kazakhstan–Serbia Intergovernmental Commission (IGC), held in Almaty on August 8. The IGC was co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin and Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić.
