Operation “Autobus” will be held in June in all cities of Kazakhstan. As part of the campaign, police officers will check the technical condition of vehicles used for child transportation and strengthen control over drivers on the roads. Minister of Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov reported on comprehensive safety measures during the summer holidays at the Government session.
According to him, in preparation for the summer holidays, classes on legal topics were held in educational organizations, explanations of the “Law and Order” principle were given, and “personal safety” lessons were conducted, where schoolchildren were reminded of the prohibition on being on the street at night, responsibility for messages about drug stashes, and compliance with traffic rules. At the same time, targeted preventive work with “difficult teenagers” continues.
In addition, from May 18 to 25, the nationwide operation “Attention – Children!” was already conducted in the country. In June and July, a large-scale operation “Children in the Night City” will also be held across the republic. The police will focus on suppressing cases of teenagers being on the street at night outside their homes, as well as identifying retail outlets where minors are sold alcohol and tobacco products.
Special attention will be paid to safety in places of mass recreation.
“New requirements have been introduced – children’s camps are now classified as additional education facilities. They have fallen under the category of UTO facilities. Akimats must include them in territorial lists in the shortest possible time. In turn, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will ensure the verification of camp staff and the escort of organized child transportation,” the Minister noted.
At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has already begun preparation for the new academic year: the police are inspecting school territories, based on the results of which the need for the development of road infrastructure has been identified.
