Prime Minister Askar Mamin inspects construction of sports and cultural infrastructure of the capital

Prime Minister Askar Mamin inspected the progress of construction of the Athletic Sports Complex and the Kazakh Drama Theater in Nur-Sultan, which are scheduled to be commissioned by the Day of the Capital in 2020.

Athletic Sports Complex will become one of the key objects of the sports infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the international level.

The object is being built on a 9-hectare site at the intersection of Turan Avenue and Uly Dala Street. The complex includes an athletic core area with 14 treadmills, long and pole vault sectors, a 11 meters wide pool with 25 meters long lanes, a 5x5 meters pool equipped with a lifting platform with two built-in treadmills, a hotel for athletes with 36 places, athletic gym, warm-up track with a 160-meter-long running track, sectors for throwing a core, high and long jumps. The stands are designed for 6,838 seats.

Construction of the Kazakh Drama Theater is underway on a 6-hectare site between the streets of Baitursynov and Najimedenov, Amanzholov and Sarykol. The building includes a large hall with 600 seats, a chamber hall with 200 seats, an art gallery, a restaurant, a ceremonial meeting room, dressing rooms and other administrative, technical and sanitary facilities.

The Head of Government instructed to carry out all construction work efficiently and put the objects into operation as scheduled.

The inspection was attended by Chair of the Board of the Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund Akhmetzhan Yessimov, Akim of Nur-Sultan Altai Kulginov, Vice Minister of Culture and Sports Yeldos Ramazanov and others.
