Prime Minister Askar Mamin inspects progress of restoration in Arys

Prime Minister Askar Mamin visited the Turkistan region with a working trip in order to familiarize himself with the progress of restoration of damaged houses, social facilities and engineering networks in the town of Arys.

The head of the Government inspected the work of the regional headquarters and examined the pace of the restoration of residential buildings in the Koktem-1, Koktem-2 microdistricts, school buildings, a kindergarten, a railway station, and a city hospital. The prime minister also visited the Public Service Center. In the headquarters of the Turkistan region, Askar Mamin was informed about the work being done to provide compensation of 100 thousand tenge to the residents of Arys.

Following the results of the inspection of the facilities, Askar Mamin chaired a meeting on the restoration of Arys.

Akim of the Turkestan Region Umirzak Shukeyev said that as part of the provision of social assistance to city residents, 650 low-income and large families were assigned targeted social assistance and payments were made.

The leaders of the ministries of defense, labor and social protection of the population, industry and infrastructure development, healthcare, education, internal affairs, digital development, innovation and the aerospace industry reported on the ongoing work on the provision of measures of social support, medical services, housing restoration.

In turn, the akims of the Almaty region Amandyk Batalov, Akmola region — Yerlan Marzhikpayev, Aktobe region — Ondasyn Urazalin, Atyrau region — Nurlan Nogayev, East Kazakhstan region — Daniyal Akhmetov, Shymkent — Gabidulla Abdrakhimov informed about the pace of construction in their sectors.

Today, the repairs have been completed in 676 houses. Currently, all sectors are covered, restoration is being carried out at 3,040 individual housing projects and apartment buildings, 190 construction companies, more than 5 thousand workers and 207 special equipments are involved. Regarding social infrastructure, work is being carried out at 66 health, education, and sports facilities.

Summing up the meeting, the Prime Minister Askar Mamin noted that all regions, national companies, representatives of big business of the country are actively involved in rebuilding the city.

"All the main work on the restoration of Arys should be completed before Aug. 1," said Askar Mamin.

The head of the Government instructed to intensify work on the timely restoration of damaged business facilities, transport and engineering infrastructure, to take comprehensive measures for medical support and to prepare educational facilities for the start of the new school year.
