Prime Minister Askar Mamin’s working trip to Turkestan region

March 16, 2019, on behalf of the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Prime Minister Askar Mamin made a working visit to Turkestan region. The purpose of the trip was to inspect the development of the Turkestan city.

  • In the city of Turkestan, the Prime Minister inspected the construction sites for the facilities of the regional akimat, directorates and departments in the administrative and business center of Turkestan. He also familiarized himself with the construction of the media center, the congress hall, the sports complex.
  • During a visit to the residential district "Turkistan – Zhana Qala," Mamin got acquainted with the housing construction plans within the framework of the Nurly Zher state program.
  • In addition, the Prime Minister examined the sites for social infrastructure projects, including in education and science. Among them is the construction of the Palace of Schoolchildren and the regional Universal Science Library.
  • Examining the historical and cultural center of the city, the Prime Minister visited the construction sites of the Khoja Ahmed Yassawi Museum, the visiting center of the Hazret Sultan Historical and Cultural Reserve, and the Uly Dala Eli Center. At the same time, the Prime Minister was presented a conceptual master plan for the improvement of the settlement of Turkestan.
  • In the course of familiarizing with the plans for tourist infrastructure, Mamin was told about the construction of a musical fountain, an amphitheater, and presented plans for creating a city park of culture and recreation with attractions.
  • Following the results of the inspection of the planned facilities, Mamin held a meeting on the implementation of the Head of State’s instructions on the construction and further development of the city of Turkestan.
