At a government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the results of the country's socio-economic development and implementation of the republican budget for January-August of 2020 were considered. Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov reported on the results of work in the country's agro-industrial complex for 8 months of this year.
Following the results of 8 months of this year, the volume of gross agricultural output increased by 4.9% and amounted to 2.4 trillion tenge. This growth was mainly due to an increase in crop production by 10.7%. In terms of regions, rates higher than republican ones were noted in 3 regions (Akmola 119.2%, North Kazakhstan 110.9% and Kostanay 105.8%).
As the minister noted, the pace of harvesting this year is higher than last year. So, to date, about 11.1 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops, or 70.2% of their total harvested area, have been harvested in the republic, while last year 5.3 million hectares or 34.8% were harvested on the same date. With an average yield of 11.7 c / ha, 13 million tons of grain were threshed.
“The volume of gross livestock production for the specified period increased by 2.7% and amounted to 1.6 trillion tenge. At the same time, there is an increase in the production of meat in live weight — by 3.7%, milk — by 3%,” the minister said.
Food production for the specified period increased by 3.6% and amounted to 1,229.3 billion tenge. Thus, there is an increase in the production of processed rice by 61.1%, sausages by 22.8%, butter by 12.9%, poultry meat by 12.3%, cereals by 12.2%, macaroni by 8.4 %, flour — by 6.4%, fermented milk products by 4.7%, vegetable oil by 1.8%.
"Investments in fixed assets in agriculture increased by 9.1% and amounted to 292 billion tenge, food production — by 25.4% and amounted to 54.7 billion tenge," Omarov summed up.
