Working trip to Atyrau region: Tugzhanov inspects preparations of the region for possible wave of COVID-19

In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State and to get acquainted with the epidemiological situation and prepare the regions for a possible wave of coronavirus infection, Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov paid a working visit to the Atyrau region.

At a meeting, the akim of the Atyrau region reported on the region's readiness for the second wave of COVID-19.

Following the meeting, Tugzhanov instructed the leadership of the region to keep under special control over the epidemiological situation, the provision of medicinal products to the population and medical institutions, as well as ventilators and oxygen concentrators.

Also, the leadership of the region was instructed to strengthen the explanatory work among the population about the need to comply with the quarantine regime.

During his working trip, the deputy prime minister got acquainted with the progress of construction of a modular infectious diseases hospital for 200 beds, visited the stabilization fund for drug supply in the region and the warehouse of Inkar LLP, which supplies 42 types of drugs to the regional pharmacy chains.

Also, the deputy prime minister visited polyclinic No. 4 in Atyrau. Today, the clinic, which was the first in the region to launch a robot with automatic measurement of the temperature of visitors, employs 343 medical workers.

As part of the implementation of Employment Roadmap for 2020 - 2021 in the region, Tugzhanov got acquainted with the progress of construction work on a six-lane highway and the construction of a school for 600 children.
