Roman Sklyar meets with representatives of Association of European Businesses

During a meeting with representatives of the Association of European Businesses, Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar spoke about the favorable investment climate in the country and discussed providing investors with new opportunities in various sectors of the economy: tourism, the digital economy, healthcare, infrastructure, etc.

At the meeting, it was noted that the economy of Kazakhstan grew by 4.5% in 2019, and attracting quality foreign investment in the non-primary sector is one of the priorities of the Government.

In turn, the head of the foreign delegation - Chair of the Association of European Businesses, President of Schneider Electric in Russia and the CIS Johan Vanderplaetse emphasized the urgency of the diversification of the Kazakh economy in light of the changing structure of energy consumption in the world.

Business representatives also considered the possibility of participating in government programs and initiatives to support Industry 4.0, the green economy, sustainable development, electric transport infrastructure in the Republic of Kazakhstan, including through technology transfer and localization.
