Sanitary and epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan improving

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered.

Minister of Healthcare Aleksey Tsoy reported that the sanitary and epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan is improving, the incidence rate has gradually begun to decrease.

Over the past week, the virus's reproductive index was below 1 and now stands at 0.93. Employment of infectious beds is 49%, intensive care — 46%.

To date, almost 6.5 million people have been vaccinated with the first component, more than 5 million people — with the second component.

The Head of Government noted the need to strengthen the vaccination campaign.

The Prime Minister instructed the Interdepartmental Commission to consider the issue of reducing restrictive measures on weekends in regions with an improving dynamics of morbidity for business entities participating in the Ashyq project.
