During the enlarged Government session chaired by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov voiced a number of proposals aimed at improving the fiscal system and economic growth.

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and members of the Government took part in the plenary session of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The deputies considered and adopted the draft laws "On the Republican Budget for 2025-2027", "On guaranteed transfer from the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2025-2027" and the Forecast of socio-economic development of the country for 2025-2029, introduced by the Government.
Plans for cooperation between Kazakhstan and the International Monetary Fund for the near and medium term discussed Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov and the head of the IMF mission in the Republic of Nicolas Blanchet.
At the Government session, chaired by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, the results of socio-economic development and execution of the republican budget for January-April of this year were considered. Reports were made by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Finance Yerulan Zhamaubayev, Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov and Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Vitaliy Tutushkin.
The results of socio-economic development and performance of the national budget for Jan.-April of this year were considered at the Government session, chaired by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov.
