Grain harvest forecast in Kazakhstan estimated at 24 million tons – Ministry of Agriculture

At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the Minister of Agriculture reported on the progress of harvesting and food production in the country. According to him, the harvesting campaign across the republic is ahead of last year’s pace, facilitated by favorable weather conditions and preferential financing provided by the Government. To date, 15.5 million tons of grain have been threshed from 10.2 million hectares.

The results of the harvesting campaign were considered at the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. The total harvesting area of agricultural crops this year totalled 23.3 million hectares, of which 16.7 million hectares are occupied by cereals and leguminous crops.
