Transfer of some assets to state ownership considered by Kazakhstan Government

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a regular meeting of the Commission for Demonopolisation of the Economy, which considered the transfer of certain assets into state ownership and the implementation of measures in the oil and gas industry.

In particular, according to the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan, one of the commercial transport and logistics companies of Almaty region, using its privileged position, has received a monopoly income of about 4.3 billion tenge during the period from Apr. to Dec. 2021. A pre-trial investigation against the company is ongoing.

A request to donate 100% of the shareholding in the subsidiary LLP to the state was received from the management of the private organisation in Oct. this year
