First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a meeting of the Special Commission in the government to resolve organizational issues related to the preparation and conduct of the national population census of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2021.
The First Deputy Prime Minister instructed to pay special attention to the issues of full staffing and vaccination of census personnel. Relevant government agencies and akimats were instructed to intensify efforts to attract volunteer organizations, students and unemployed people as interviewers. Ensure the safety of personnel at the time of the census, as well as suppress fraudulent actions by unscrupulous persons.
Smailov instructed the heads of the regions to strengthen information and explanatory work among the population, using general house group chats in messengers as a notification tool, where it is possible to provide more detailed information about the population census.
In addition, an order was given to observe a moratorium on renaming the constituent parts of settlements until the end of the census campaign.
They also talked about providing access to information resources on the census within the framework of the ETS GO (unified transport environment of state bodies) on the work done within the framework of the integration of the site "sanaq.gov.kz" with the web portal "egov.kz" to provide access to high-quality Internet in remote areas and villages.

Recall that the 2021 National Population Census is planned from Sep. 1 to Oct. 15 in online format on the specialized website sanaq.gov.kz. The traditional continuous census will be conducted from Oct. 1 to Oct. 30 in compliance with the necessary sanitary standards among citizens who have not participated in the online census.
