At the government session chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, the issues of holding the Year of Children were considered. Minister of Healthcare Azhar Giniyat, Minister of Culture and Sports Dauren Abayev, Vice Minister of Education Sholpan Karinova, akims of Karaganda region Zhenis Kassymbek and Atyrau region - Serik Shapkenov made presentations.
Opening the meeting, Alikhan Smailov congratulated the little citizens of Kazakhstan on the International Children's Day. As you know, 2022 has been declared the Year of Children by the Decree of the Head of State.
According to the Ministry of Education and Science, the action plan for the Year of Children includes 66 events in 7 areas aimed at ensuring security, health, education and leisure.
For 5 months of this year 17,300 regional events were held, covering more than 2.5 million children, including 59% from low-income families.
After listening to the speakers, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted that the most important task of the state is to create comfortable conditions for children in terms of obtaining knowledge, full development, recreation and medical care.
Every year, hundreds of schools, kindergartens, cultural and sports facilities are built throughout the country - everything that is required for the comprehensive development of children.
The Head of Government noted that Children's Day has always been the start of a summer health campaign, instructing the Ministry of Health to take comprehensive measures to maximize the use of the favorable summer season for children's health.
“The main thing is the safety of our children on the street, during recreation on the water, various excursions. The organization of any event with the participation of children must first of all guarantee their safety,” the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan stressed.
In this regard, the relevant departments were instructed to mobilize the work of the relevant services, paying special attention to equipping and modernizing security systems in educational institutions.
At the same time, Smailov instructed to ensure the maximum coverage of children of socially vulnerable categories with health improvement, summer holidays and employment. In all rural settlements it is necessary to equip sports grounds, child development centers, and organize leisure cultural events.
In terms of healthcare, it is necessary to take measures for the operation of mobile medical centers for screening the health of children, dental examinations in remote settlements.
In addition, in order to ensure the observance of children's rights, an instruction was given to accelerate the introduction of independent positions of Commissioners for Children's Rights under the akimats of the regions.
As part of the development of domestic tourism, it is necessary to organize children's sightseeing and educational activities.
In order to cover children with circles and sections, the integration of information systems for the implementation of state educational, sports and creative orders will be ensured. This will make it possible to see a real picture of the coverage of children by sections and circles, and increase their accessibility.
“In general, I instruct all akims of the regions to take personal control over the implementation of activities for the Year of Children,” the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan concluded.
