Influenza vaccination completed by over 99% in Kazakhstan

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered.

Minister of Healthcare Alexey Tsoy reported on the stability of the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The workload of infectious beds is 30%, resuscitation — 25%.

Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions remain in the red zone in terms of the spread of coronavirus infection, Nur-Sultan, Akmola, Karaganda and Kostanay regions are in the yellow zone. The rest of the regions and the Republic of Kazakhstan as a whole are in the green zone.

To date, about 8.7 million people have been vaccinated with the first component — this is 76% of the adult population, about 8 million people or 70% of the adult population — with the second component.

Flu vaccination is more than 99% fulfilled.

On Nov. 22, the revaccination for coronavirus started in all regions.

The Head of Government instructed to keep the sanitary and epidemiological situation under constant control, especially in the border regions, to increase the rate of vaccination, as well as to ensure the storage and transportation of vaccines.
