Regional commissions for considering applications for compensation of damage caused to small and medium-sized businesses are actively assessing the applications from entrepreneurs.

As of Jan. 31, 2022, over 2,000 claims for damages were submitted through the electronic platform InfoKazakhstan.kz from the cities of Almaty, Shymkent, as well as from Almaty, Zhambyl, East Kazakhstan, Aktobe and West Kazakhstan regions.

The compensation mechanism provides for consideration of applications under a simplified procedure and based on the conclusions of a forensic examination, at the discretion of the applicant. For prompt examinations, 33 experts work in the city of Almaty, and a reserve of 68 forensic experts has been additionally created.

As part of the work of the Regional Commissions, positive decisions were made, the first compensations have already been paid to the settlement accounts of the businessmen who applied. Thus, in the city of Almaty, 17 entrepreneurs received payments totaling 33 million tenge.

Government will continue to work on the speedy compensation of damage to businesses in order to restore their activities.
