In September 2021, immunization of 10 million people eligible for vaccination to be completed in Kazakhstan

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered. Minister of Healthcare Alexey Tsoy, akims of Almaty region Amandyk Batalov, Almaty region — Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, Aktobe region — Ondasyn Urazalin reported on the current situation, the progress of vaccination of the population and measures taken to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The virus reproductive rate in the republic is 1.16. The workload of infectious beds is 36%, resuscitation beds — 22%.

To date, the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, Atyrau, Aktobe, Almaty, West Kazakhstan and Akmola regions are in the red zone in terms of the rate of spread of COVID-19, and the cities of Shymkent and Karaganda region are in the yellow zone. All other regions are in the green zone.

The prime minister stressed that the government is taking prompt measures to reduce the incidence rate and increase the number of people vaccinated.

Since April this year in the regions, 2 million people will be vaccinated every month. The Ministry of Health has drawn up a clear vaccination plan.

“In September, we plan to complete the vaccination of 10 million people who are eligible for vaccination. And then we expect to receive the effect of collective immunity,” Mamin said.

The head of government stressed that the healthcare system is fully provided with the necessary amount of medicines and medical devices. In medical institutions, a monthly supply of drugs has been formed, in the warehouses of SK-Pharmacy and in pharmacies — a two-month supply. All regions have stabilization funds with medicines, protective equipment and syringes for three months.

“In general, systematic work is being carried out to fulfill all instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev,” Mamin said.

The prime minister instructed the Ministry of Healthcare and Akimats to take measures to increase the number of people vaccinated in the regions located in the red zone, ensuring the supply of vaccines in accordance with the adopted plan.

The Ministry of Information and Social Development, together with the Ministry of Healthcare and Akimats, was instructed to carry out a wide information and explanatory work on the importance of vaccination.

The Ministries of Healthcare, Digitalization, Internal Affairs, NCE Atameken, regional akimats were instructed by the end of April 2021 to introduce the Ashyq project in all regions with the aim of resuming the activities of business entities and introducing heat maps to carry out anti-epidemic measures and improve the efficiency of mobile monitoring groups.
