The main events of the week from 12 to 17 March 2018

• On March 13, Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a regular meeting of the Government. The Road Map for the implementation of the President’s Five Social Initiatives, the results of socio-economic development for January-February 2018, measures to prevent the growth of prices for socially significant products, as well as the National Report on Combating Corruption were considered.
• On the same day in Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister held a meeting on the implementation of infrastructure projects in Astana.
• On Wednesday, March 14, Bakytzhan Sagintayev held meetings on animal husbandry and further development of entrepreneurship.
• On March 15 and 16, in the framework of the implementation of the State Program Digital Kazakhstan, the Prime Minister held meetings in the Ukimet Uyi on the development of electronic healthcare and education.
• One of the significant events in international news was the opening of the year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan. The solemn opening ceremony was attended by the Heads of Central Asian States.
• In addition, this week in Astana Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, who was in Kazakhstan on an official visit.
• In Ukimet Uyi the Prime Minister chaired the meeting of the Coordinating Council for Interaction with International Financial Organizations and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
• On March 13 in Ukimet Uyi, Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with the President of Chevron Europe, Eurasia and Middle East, Exploration and Production, Jeffrey Todd Levy.
• Within the framework of the President’s Five Social Initiatives, press conferences on the construction of student dormitories on the principles of PPP and issues of further gas supply in the country were held at the press center of the Government.
