B. Sagintayev holds a meeting of Coordinating Council for Interaction with International Financial Institutions

Today in Ukimet Uyі, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a meeting of the Coordinating Council for Cooperation with International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

In the course of the meeting, the draft Action Plan for Cooperation with the OECD was considered, which provides for the implementation of the Organization's recommendations on the development of innovations, small and medium businesses, improvement of the investment policy, and increasing of the regional competitiveness. Also, the implementation of joint projects with IFIs on the basis of public-private partnership was discussed.

For reference: Since 2015, Kazakhstan and OECD have reached a phase of active interaction within the framework of the signed Country Program of Cooperation. The country program envisages the accession of Kazakhstan to the 29 main OECD legal instruments. To date, Kazakhstan has joined 17 legal instruments, this year it is planned to join the remaining 12 legal entities.

The OECD recommendations within the framework of the Reviews are included in the National Road Map for the implementation of OECD recommendations (dated 07.09.2017).
