At the government session chaired by the Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the Comprehensive Plan of Socio-Economic Development of the Turkistan Region for 2021-2025 was considered.
Minister of National Economy Aset Irgaliyev, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov, Minister of Energy Nurlan Nogayev, Minster of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Minster of Healthcare Alexey Tsoy, Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov, Minister of Culture and Sports Aktoty Raimkulova, First Vice Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov, Akim of the Turkistan Region Umirzak Shukeyev presented their reports.
The Head of Government noted that the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for the Socio-Economic Development of the Turkistan Region for 2021-2025 will give a new impetus to the development of the region and will ensure an increase in the quality of life and well-being of the population.
100% coverage of the population with water supply services will be provided, 85.4% — gas supply.
In the field of the agro-industrial complex, it will be planned to implement about 100 projects in five years, which will also increase the volume of gross output from 729 billion to 1.3 trillion tenge and increase labor productivity by 2.5 times.
Within five years, it is planned to build about 5 million square meters. m of housing, 130 new schools, 10 healthcare facilities, a spiritual and cultural center and other social facilities.
Projects for the development of transport, engineering and communication infrastructure will be implemented. It is planned to build a high-speed railway connecting the cities of Turkistan, Shymkent and Tashkent, and to build a new railway and bus station in Turkistan.
These measures together will increase the volume of industry in the region by 35%, labor productivity — by 52%. The flow of tourists will increase annually from 1.2 million to 2.5 million people. At least 40 thousand new jobs will be created.
“In just 5 years of implementation of the Comprehensive Plan, 142 measures will be implemented for 3.6 trillion tenge. The economy of the Turkistan region will grow 1.5 times over 5 years,” Mamin said.
The Prime Minister instructed to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of the measures of the approved Comprehensive Plan for the Socio-Economic Development of the Turkistan Region for 2021-2025.
