Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan holds meetings with residents of villages of Korday district

Deputy Prime Minister Berdibek Saparbayev met with residents of the villages of Sortobe, Masanchi, Aukhatta and Karakemer of the Korday district. The Vice Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament Bektas Beknazarov, Akim of the Zhambyl region Askar Myrzakhmetov, Deputy Chair of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Deputy of the Majilis Bakhytbek Smagul and others also took part in the meetings.

At a meeting with the villagers, members of the Government Commission discussed the rule of law, restoration of the damage caused, objective clarification of the circumstances of the incident, further measures to maintain unity and consent, and measures to prevent similar conflicts in the future.

Also, local residents were interested in the fate of the detained citizens.

“Citizens who have not committed unlawful acts will be released. Everyone who participated in the riots will be legally responsible. Now the investigative-operational group is working, which will find out all the circumstances,” the deputy prime minister assured.

The citizens of Sortobe called on villagers to maintain calm and order.

“There are laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, there are law enforcement agencies – this must be put at the forefront. It is necessary to objectively understand what happened and who is to blame. We must not engage in lynching. The main thing is to maintain peace, unity and harmony in society,” said one of the villagers.

The Government Commission continues the work in the Korday region.
