Prime Minister of Kazakhstan held regular meeting of Operational Headquarters for Anti-Crisis Measures

The meeting participants reviewed the results of the negotiations on the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route and issues of transportation of Kazakhstani cargo.

On March 9-10, negotiations were held between representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia to ensure the transportation of Kazakh and transit cargo.

In order to develop the Trans-Caspian route, the parties agreed to establish a joint venture that will address issues of through tariff setting, cargo declaration, the use of unified IT solutions and the consolidation of transit cargo.

In general, the route has the possibility of transporting up to 10 million tons per year, including up to 200 thousand containers.

Regarding the current route through the port of Lianyungang (PRC), the issue of reducing the tariff for transit cargo transportation is being worked out.

According to the Chair of the Presidium of NCE Atameken Raimbek Batalov, as a result of the joint work of state bodies and business, at the moment there are no idle times of Kazakh cargo on the border with China.

According to previously announced information from the business regarding the idle time of goods at the border of Belarus, an appropriate monitoring was carried out, as a result of which this fact was not confirmed.

The next meeting of the Operational Headquarters will take place on March 11.
