Bakytzhan Sagintayev meets with the Chief Executive of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah

Today in Ukimet Uyi Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah who arrived in Kazakhstan on a working visit.

During the meeting, issues of further development of trade and economic cooperation and the implementation of the agreements concluded by the heads of the two states during the visit of Afghan President A. Ghani to Astana in November 2015 were discussed.

Measures were also considered to improve the transit potential of the region and prospects for bilateral cooperation in the construction of railways. In addition, the issue of continuing interaction between countries in the field of education was raised.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev congratulated Abdullah Abdullah on the national holiday - the Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. At the same time, the sides discussed the National Day of Afghanistan in Astana at EXPO-2017.
