Bakhyt Sultanov: The Government started implementation of new mechanisms to control spending of budget funds

The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan started implementation of new mechanisms to control the development of budget funds. This was announced by the Minister of Finance Bakhyt Sultanov during a briefing in the Government's press center.

In addition, the Minister said that the work on the development of budget funds has been significantly strengthened in Kazakhstan. Henceforth, the funds of ministries that do not spend the budget will be transferred to other ministries.

"The mechanism of "manual control" is used here. Those who have not spent the money will need to withdraw them and give them to those who develop," B. Sultanov noted.

In the autumn, the budget will be updated. In the near future, we will announce specific figures. In general, according to the Minister, a lot of work has been done to develop budget funds.

He also said that Kazakhstan's budget deficit will be gradually reduced from 1.1% in 2018 to 1% in 2019-2020. In nominal terms it reduces from 639.6 billion tenge in 2018 to 608 billion tenge in 2019 and 653.5 billion tenge in 2020.
