Nursultan Nazarbayev visits new facilities of the capital

The President of Kazakhstan visited the new facilities of the capital built within the framework of the project "Regions Present Gifts to Astana." This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

First, Nursultan Nazarbayev visited an open exposition of the rocket and space technology museum, built by the Kyzylorda region in the framework of the project "Regions Present Gifts to Astana."

At the exposition Nursultan Nazarbayev talked to the representatives of the Kyzylorda region’s public.

During the inspection, the President of Kazakhstan was presented the possibilities of the assembly and testing complex of space vehicles. The Head of State noted the importance of the space industry for the development of science and new technologies.

"On my instructions, together with the French side, we launched a plant for the assembly of artificial Earth satellites. In the near future we will build our own satellites. We have our own launcher, by 2022 the Zenith rocket will be ready. Thus, our space industry is entering a new technological level, and Kazakhstan is becoming a full-fledged space power," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The museum is located on the territory of the National Space Center “Qazaqstan Garysh Sapary.” In the open exposition of the museum of rocket and space technology donated for the 20th anniversary of the capital, models of Soyuz, Proton, Zenit carrier rockets and the Buran orbital ship are exhibited.

Then the President of Kazakhstan visited the new kindergarten “Almaty Balabaqshasy” on the left bank of Astana, designed for 240 places. There are a music room and playgrounds provided in the educational institution for children's creativity and recreation.

Almaty Balabaqshasy consists of 12 groups. Each group has a thematic name associated with the city of Almaty. The interior design of the kindergarten allows children to get acquainted with the famous streets and avenues of the southern capital, to get closer to the history of the city.

In addition, Nazarbayev visited the Ulytau alley and the monument "Qazaq Eline Myn Algys" on the left bank of the capital. Here the Head of State had a talk with representatives of the ethnocultural associations of the Karaganda region, who gathered before the monument "Qazaq Eline Myn Algys."

Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the importance of preserving difficult pages in the history of Kazakhstan in the memory of the people.

"Everything that we see today in the capital has been achieved in these twenty years. Astana was built and is built by the whole Kazakhstan, otherwise it could not be. Therefore, we celebrate this anniversary widely, with the participation of all regions. I want everyone who lives in our state to feel comfortable, so that everyone here would be happy," said the President of Kazakhstan.

The Head of State stressed the special importance of the unity of the people in the further advancement of the country.

"We need to cherish friendship and mutual respect. I advocate that everyone stay in Kazakhstan, live, work and develop. The most important thing is to keep good relations," Nursultan Nazarbayev noted.

During the inspection of the new facilities of the capital, the Head of State visited the Botanical Garden, located on the left bank of Astana.

The President of Kazakhstan, after having a talk with the representatives of the youth labor group "Zhasyl El," noted the importance of the ongoing work on landscaping the capital and entire Kazakhstan.

Nursultan Nazarbayev was shown the greenhouse in the center of the Botanical Garden, as well as information on modern technologies used in its work.

On the territory of the garden there are a bicycle path, a running track, sports coverings, a pedestrian bridge, an artificial reservoir. The total area of ​​landscaping is more than 613 thousand m². Among the planted bushes and trees are collections from Europe, Asia and North America.

Then, during the presentation, the Head of State spoke about the history of the transfer and the main stages of the construction of the new capital.

"It has always been said that the forest cannot grow around Astana. But today 83 thousand hectares of trees have been planted there, which have grown to 20-25 meters. Each year, the area of ​​planted forests is increased by five thousand hectares. We want to connect this forest with Shchuchinsk-Borovoe resort zone," the President of Kazakhstan said.

Nursultan Nazarbayev pointed to the need for further development of the Botanical Garden, using the scientific potential of domestic and international specialized institutions.

During the visit, the Head of State was also shown one of the main ornaments of the Botanical Garden — a light and music fountain built by the East Kazakhstan region in the framework of the project "Regions Present Gifts to Astana."
