Askar Mamin instructs to ensure implementation of vaccination schedule

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered.

Minister of Healthcare Alexey Tsoy, Akim of Almaty Region Amandyk Batalov, Akim of Aktobe Region Ondasyn Urazalin, Akim of Akmola Region Ermek Marzhikpayev reported on the current situation, the progress of vaccination of the population and measures taken to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The virus reproductive rate in the republic is 1.15. The workload of infectious beds is 41%, intensive care beds — 27%. To date, the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, West Kazakhstan, Almaty, Atyrau, Aktobe, Akmola and Karaganda regions are in the red zone in terms of the spread of Covid-19. All other regions, with the exception of East Kazakhstan and Turkistan regions, are in the yellow zone.

"The Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev has set a clear task to stabilize the sanitary and epidemiological situation and increase the number of vaccinated people," Mamin said.

The Prime Minister instructed the akims to take operational restrictive measures depending on the epidemiological situation, fully provide all medical institutions with the necessary amount of medicines and medical products, and strengthen compliance with sanitary standards and mask regimes.

The Ministry of Healthcare and akimats were instructed to ensure the full readiness of the bed fund, as well as the availability of vaccines using public places, incl. shopping centers.

“It is necessary to strictly adhere to the vaccination schedule. According to the plan, we must provide vaccinations for 2 million people in April, as well as in May and June,” Mamin said.

The ministries of healthcare, information and social development, together with akimats, were instructed to continue advocacy work on the importance of vaccination.

“Society should understand that only compliance with sanitary standards and vaccination will stop the spread of the pandemic,” Mamin emphasized.
