The progress of implementation of the National Project "Modernization of Rural Health Care" was considered at the Coordination Headquarters on interaction between central government agencies and local executive bodies under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov. 

Minister of Healthcare Azhar Giniyat reported on the ongoing work on the construction of 655 new primary health care facilities in villages in the next two years. Among them are modern medical stations including physiotherapy room and pharmacy, feldsher-midwifery stations (informatization room is being added) and doctor's outpatient clinics (physical therapy room and pharmacy are being added).

It was noted that physiotherapy rooms will be equipped with electrotherapy, magnetotherapy, ultrasound therapy, light therapy, UVB therapy, inhalers, etc. The physiotherapy rooms will be equipped with various devices. The physical therapy room will be equipped with various fine motor rehabilitation and development simulators, ergotherapy stands, a buffet wall, and kinesotherapy equipment. At the same time, all new primary health care facilities have computer and medical equipment for the organization of telemedicine.

The National Project will also include modernization and reconstruction of 32 multi-disciplinary central district hospitals with the opening of stroke and cardiology centers, rehabilitation, traumatology and orthopedics, surgery, reanimation, intensive care departments, as well as equipping them with modern medical equipment.

In addition, it is planned to train 1,100 medical workers for rural health care facilities, including doctors, nurses, paramedics and midwives.

The Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development Marat Karabayev told about the work on adaptation of standard projects of new medical facilities to local conditions.

Akims of Atyrau region Serik Shapkenov, Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov, Mangystau region Nurlan Nogayev and Karaganda region Yrmaganbet Bulekpayev reported on the implementation of the national project in the regions.  

Summarizing the results of the meeting, the Head of Government demanded to speed up the work on linking standard projects to local conditions, as well as laying of utilities and roads to construction sites.

In addition, Alikhan Smailov noted the need to strengthen coordination and control of the National Project by the Ministry of Healthcare.
