Domestic commodity producers to not need to obtain industrial or CT-KZ certificates — Alikhan Smailov

On new measures to support domestic producers told the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov within the framework of the international forum "Kazakhstan Content 2.0" in Astana.

He noted that from the side of business was voiced a number of proposals, with many of them thanks to the joint work of the Government and Atameken NCE are already finding their realization. In particular, it concerns the recognition of off-take contracts concluded by domestic producers with subsoil users and other large companies as collateral for attracting loans and investments.

"We have worked out this issue with the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market. A relevant regulatory decision was made that off-take contracts with quasi-state companies, with companies that have international ratings of BB-, and with large systemically important enterprises are considered hard collateral for loans. We will see how this case goes. Further we will expand the field of application of such pledges," Alikhan Smailov said.

According to him, it was also decided to completely exclude non-standardized goods from trading on exchanges. Information on when and how this decision comes into force will be communicated through the media later.

Prime Minister also spoke about the work on the abolition of CT-KZ certificate and industrial certificate, which confirm the status of the Kazakh manufacturer.

"We together with Atameken NCE made a decision that we will have a single register of domestic producers of products. It will not be necessary to obtain any certificates. Information about manufacturers and goods produced by them will be online in this register. At any time, all interested parties will be able to go and get the necessary information. Thus, we will stop the practice of issuing these certificates. The information will be available online free of charge for all users," Alikhan Smailov said.

Addressing the participants of the forum, Prime Minister noted that all constructive proposals of business on its results will be collected and systematized for use in the future work of the Government.

"I invite all participants to express their proposals. We are ready to make the right decisions together with you to move our economy, our country forward," Alikhan Smailov concluded.
