Foreign investments — to build hospitals

Prime Minister Askar Mamin took part in the ceremony of signing documents on the construction of new health facilities under the public-private partnership mechanism in the framework of the implementation of social measures of the First President – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev “Aleumettіk Qamqorlyq” and the instructions given by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on health issues.

The document on the construction of a multi-regional hospital for 500 beds with a consultative and diagnostic center in the city of Petropavlovsk was signed by akim of North Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov and chairman of the board of the Turkish company YDA Holding, Arslan Hussein. The hospital complex will replace seven single-disease, worn and disparate facilities.

Another multi-type hospital will be built in the city of Turkestan. Akim of the Turkestan Region Umirzak Shukeyev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Consortium of BI-Holding Companies Aidyn Rakhimbayev and Chairman of the Board of YDA Holding Arslan Hussein signed a document on mutual cooperation in the construction of a multi-type regional center for 610 beds. The hospital plans to open oncological and cardiology departments, a perinatal center, an ambulance station, etc. The construction is planned to be completed by 2022.

The total amount of attracted investments in the construction and equipment of two medical facilities will be about 110 billion tenge.

It should be noted that these projects are implemented in the framework of regional long-term plans for the development of health infrastructure.

As the chairman of the company, investor Arslan Hussein noted, Kazakhstan has a favorable investment climate and all conditions for the implementation of projects have been created.

The measures taken will make it possible to update the country's healthcare infrastructure, meet domestic demand, improve the quality, availability of medical services provided and their timeliness, as well as create centers of attraction for medical tourism for the countries of Central Asia and the CIS.
