At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenev, measures to ensure the high-quality implementation of the New Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which entered into force on July 1, 2026, were reviewed.
Olzhas Bektenev emphasized the special importance of the Fundamental Law for the country’s further development.
“Today, the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan has entered into force – a document that defines the trajectory of our country’s development for decades to come. The adoption of the Fundamental Law is evidence of the broad support of citizens for the new stage of the country’s modernization under the leadership of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The New Constitution creates a solid institutional foundation for progressive development, which is measured not only by economic indicators. The President emphasizes that we must not catch up with global changes, but become an active participant in shaping a new economic reality,” the Prime Minister noted.
Olzhas Bektenev stated that a deep reboot of state and public institutions has begun in the country. The ongoing transformations are aimed at further maintaining stability in society, improving the well-being of citizens, strengthening the principle of “Law and Order,” as well as forming a progressive and highly intellectual generation of Kazakhstanis.
