Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov and Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin, who arrived on an official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, jointly visited Astana Hub.
The government delegation of the Republic of Belarus was introduced to the development of Kazakhstan’s digital industry, innovative startups, and GovTech solutions.
As part of the task set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to accelerate the development of a digital state and implement innovative technologies across all sectors of the economy, the Government is carrying out systematic work. Currently, Kazakhstan ranks 10th in the world and 1st among CIS countries in the UN Online Services Index, as well as 24th globally in the E-Government Development Index. Over 90% of public services in the country are available to citizens online.
At Astana Hub — the country’s leading innovation hub — the delegation was introduced to Kazakhstani startups applying artificial intelligence technologies, including Aman (AI solutions for adult and child safety), Mirai Tech (sports analytics), and aDrone.kz (drone technology development). Also presented were AI startups used in education (TrustExam, Codiplay) and healthcare (Ascle), among others. In 2024, Kazakhstan’s IT service exports exceeded $880 million, marking an increase of more than 20%.
During their visit to Tomorrow School, which employs an innovative peer-to-peer learning system, attention was given to Kazakhstan’s efforts in training highly qualified IT specialists. Overall, around 500,000 citizens in the country are currently learning the fundamentals of artificial intelligence.
In addition, the Prime Minister of Belarus was presented with the activities of the Digital Office and the technological capabilities of Egov Mobile, Egov Business, Smart Data Ukimet, the National AI Platform, and other digital solutions aimed at improving convenience for citizens and businesses, as well as enhancing the efficiency of government agencies.
