Work of state bodies to be aimed at high-quality and timely execution of instructions of the Head of State — Bakhyt Sultanov

At the meeting of the Government chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, measures were considered to fulfill the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, which were given at an expanded meeting of the Government on February 8 this year. Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov reported on the execution of instructions by the financial and economic bloc of the Government.

“The Ministry of National Economy is conducting a thorough analysis of tariffs and commissions charged by various monopoly operators and intermediaries. Also, work is underway to legislate the revision of the system of interbudgetary relations, providing for the expansion of the financial independence of the regions. As part of the reform of NCE Atameken, measures are being worked out to strengthen support and protection of small businesses. The implementation of these measures by the Ministry of National Economy is taken under special control,” Sultanov said.

The Ministry of Finance is taking measures to reform budget planning with the full digitization of its processes, as well as to develop a methodology for analyzing the socio-economic effect of public spending. Proposals have also been developed for legislative tightening of requirements for the activities of authorized economic operators.

“I also planned a trip to Almaty and the Almaty region to work out problematic issues at customs posts to discuss issues of timely adoption of measures to reduce barriers in mutual trade, as well as improve the efficiency of customs and tax administration. The heads of relevant services of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic were invited to Almaty. Also, together with the administrations of the agglomerations, a meeting on the development of the trade sector will be held in the Akimat of Almaty. At present, the Ministry of Trade and Integration, together with the akimats of Almaty and the Almaty region, are working on the issues of streamlining activities and further developing the market,” Sultanov explained.

The proposals will be aimed at modernizing the market, taking into account digitalization, whitewashing trade operations, taking into account the interests of the population. In general, the direction of the work of state bodies will be aimed at the high-quality and timely execution of the instructions of the Head of State.
