Olzhas Bektenov chairs Samruk-Kazyna Board of Directors meeting

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund JSC. The meeting reviewed the Fund's key performance metrics, including operational and financial results, as well as measures to support domestic manufacturers.

Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, reported that in January–July 2026, the Fund's revenue reached 12.5 trillion tenge, exceeding the planned target by 5%. EBITDA exceeded 3.4 trillion tenge (7% above target), while net profit surpassed 1.2 trillion tenge, beating the plan by 4%.

As part of efforts to support local producers and boost domestic manufacturing through procurement by Group companies, contracts totaling 694 billion tenge have been signed since the beginning of the year—a 32% increase compared to the same period last year. Over 16 support measures for domestic producers are currently active within public procurement, including priority for Kazakhstani goods, long-term contracts, a mandatory 30% advance payment, and expedited processing of payments. From January to July 2026, off-take contracts worth 52.8 billion tenge were concluded. In research and innovation, the R&D portfolio currently comprises 55 projects valued at 13.9 billion tenge, 7 of which have already been completed.

Olzhas Bektenov issued a series of instructions aimed at ensuring the timely execution of investment projects and further refining the procurement mechanisms across the Group.
