Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with the heads of international sports organisations. The meeting was attended by Vice President of the Association of National Olympic Committees and President of the National Olympic Committee of Qatar Sheikh Joan Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia and World Aquatics Hussein Al-Musallam, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of Qatar Tani Abdulrahman Al-Kawuari.

The questions of development of international sports co-operation, support of Olympic movement and creation of conditions for development of professional and mass sports were discussed.

Considered the prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and international sports organisations in terms of training athletes and holding joint training camps, upgrading sports infrastructure, the possibility of expanding cooperation in the development of water sports. It was noted that sports cooperation plays an important role in popularising mass sports.
