Olzhas Bektenov Held a Meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko.

Attention was given to issues of bilateral cooperation in the fields of digitalization and innovation, sports, tourism, and education.

The participants of the meeting emphasized that thanks to the trust-based dialogue and regular contacts between President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Russia Vladimir Putin, stable economic and cultural-humanitarian ties have been established. Bilateral relations are developing within the framework of strategic partnership and alliance.

In January–June 2025, mutual trade turnover amounted to $12 billion. By the instruction of the heads of the two states, consistent work is being carried out to increase mutual trade to $30 billion.

As part of his visit, Dmitry Chernyshenko will visit several facilities. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation will get acquainted with the activities of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, as well as the Kazakhstani branches of Moscow State University (MSU) and MGIMO.
