At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, the issue of implementing the Action Plan for Explaining the Constitution was discussed.

“In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State, the Government has approved the Action Plan for Explaining the Constitution of our country. Systematic information and explanatory work on all the new provisions of the Constitution is already underway, with the participation of experts and public figures,” noted Olzhas Bektenov.

Particular emphasis was placed on maintaining the set pace. The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Culture and Information, together with authorized state bodies and organizations, to continue systematic work in this direction.

Special attention was paid to the formation of citizens’ legal culture. Olzhas Bektenov gave instructions to the ministries of the education block.

“The Ministries of Education, Science and Higher Education must ensure the timely development of a comprehensive program to improve legal literacy among the population, as well as the inclusion of the provisions of the Constitution in the standard curricula of schools, colleges, and universities,” the Head of Government noted.

The need to bring the legislative framework in line with the adopted norms was also emphasized. All government agencies were instructed to ensure the implementation of the Action Plan for Explaining the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“It is necessary to complete, within the established deadlines, a comprehensive analysis of the current legislation and the updating of all existing laws and policy documents in accordance with the provisions of the new Constitution. I instruct all central and local executive government bodies to ensure the implementation of the Action Plan,” Olzhas Bektenov noted.
